Cleo being from Staten Island, which happens to be my hometown, made the assignment even more intriguing. Pair that with the fact that she’s Ice Spice‘s “baddie friend” who’s been by her side in most of the snippets and videos that have stacked up millions of views, this was undoubtedly someone who I had to meet.

UES to Get First Legal Weed Shop in Early January

While there are plenty of places to buy weed on the Upper East Side, the neighborhood is about to get its first legal cannabis shop. Markel Bababekov will be opening The Herbal Care (THC) at 1412 Lexington Avenue (between 92nd and 93rd streets) on January 4, according to a press representative. Bababekov also owns Celestial Cleaners on East 68th Street.

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Several new legal recreational marijuana dispensaries are opening this month in New York City, Long Island and Westchester County, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Thursday. There will be two new legal marijuana dispensaries opening in Manhattan, one in the Bronx, and one in Brooklyn. Additionally, there are new legal dispensaries opening on Long Island and in Westchester County.

It’s happening: the Upper East Side’s first legal recreational cannabis dispensary will open its doors on Jan. 4. The Herbal Care, located at 1412 Lexington Ave. near 92nd Street, is going to be the first legal dispensary for recreational marijuana in the neighborhood, and the only one between 16th Street and Harlem in New York City so far. A few doors down, an illegal weed shop, California Finest CBD Depot at 1416 Lexington Ave. has been “permanently closed” according to Google Street maps.
